The Surf City Rotary Club, along with several other community groups, came together to build a complete playground - in ONE day! The playground is located on the Robert Meyer Child Development Preschool at the Boys & Girls Clubs' site located on the Golden West College Campus. This is the only Boys & Girls Club located on a college campus in the United States.Giving back to our local community is one of our Club's top prioritizes.
This playground build, done in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, brought together our club along with community participation including Pacific Life, the Huntington Beach Police Department, and Kiwanis and many other volunteers. After a great deal of preparation, the playground was erected in ONE day. This is quite a unique location, for a Boys & Girls Club as it is built on a site on the Golden West College campus in Westminster, California.
